Family!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!!
ok so this week was a little different. We had exchanges with other missionaries. it was awesome because i was with my leader of district in Mayol, so i already knew him and he is super cool, so we had fun and we had a lot of success the couple of days that we were together. The sad thing is, is that we had to go to a different area to change back and we were stuck outside of the area for a day.We came back to Las Flores friday and we worked in the area friday.
we met some people this week that seem prepared. I have had some great spiritual lessons and i hope the best for these people so we will have to see what happens here in the next couple of weeks.
Easter is celebrated as semana santa here. so they get thursday and friday off then saturday and sunday are the weekend. But i remember that i wanted to know a little more about the atonement of Christ. It was kinda funny because the elder that came with me to do the exchange was a little bit sick like almost flu the day before, but he is a hard worker, so he fulfilled his job. The funny part is Saturday i got sick... i was in bed all day and we didnt get much work in. I thought that i was suffereing a little bit (like a little baby), but i am happy nw that i got sick. I had a lot of time in bed saturday to think of the sacrifice that Christ had gone through. I felt pretty bad, but Christ took upon himself all of that sickness and pain that i went through x infinity. I realized that the atonement should be a big part in everybody´s life, and now i understand the sacrificew a little better of what my Savior did for me. Plus, on sunday we had a lesson on gratitud, i can say now that i am really greatful to feel better!!! :)
I know that my Savior lives and that He loves us. He really sacrificed alot for us and is always there to help us. He had to suffer so much so that he can help us in the times of need. He knows us better than we know ourselves. I love my Saviour and i  Love all of you and hope that you are all safe!!!! I pray for you all the time and I am very grrateful that i have a family like you!!!!!

Con mucho amor

Hello Family!!!
This week went good! I have my new companion. He is from here, Buenos Aires, but in the west mission. He actually got called to the Venezuela, Caracas mission and he is waiting a visa. His name is Elder Muñoz. He doesnt know how much time he will be here for, because a visa can take up to 7 months, but i met an elder that did the same thing, and he waited 8 months to get his visa. So we will see what happens here with my companion.

I am happy to be training because it is interesting to see what the new missionaries have to say and see what ideas they have. I have had a new missionary by my side for the last 2 months almost, and i have been learning alot from them.

This past week has been some what the same as usually. However, we are now teaching a little girl who wants to get baptized. Her mother is a member, but is inactive, so we want to help the little girl get baptized and the mother back to church.

I gave a talk on sunday about charity... It was funny because there were only 2 speakers prepared to give talks: me and my comp. My comp maybe got the wrong idea when the president of the branch asked him to speak, because he left about 30 minutes left for me to speak. So i got up there are i only gave a talk that filled up half that time... so the president had to fill the rest of the time. I felt kinda bad because i didnt take to much time, but at the same time i was laughing to myself for another experience like that.

I love you all and i am thankful for all that you do and all of your prayers!! I love you all and i hope that you are all safe!!! My prayers are with you all!!!

Hey Family!!!!!!!!!
What is up????
I love hearing from your experiences and stories dad. i always love hearing what you learn. I love learning and i cannot get enough of it hahah. I am glad that the family has been doing good!! and that was cool what erik did"!!!! I will have to take a trip on a cruz then haha.

This week went by fast like all the others. The biggest thing that happened this week is that i am going to train again, but this time a full time missionary. I think that it will be fun. I am going to stay here in Las Flores for the next 3 months. now the trainers have to train for 2 tranfers, so that means i  have 3 months here in Las Flores. I think that it wil be good and i will know Las Flores like that back of my hand by the time that i leave. It will be good though. I think that i will train a latin, but i am not sure yet. I will tell you the next week.

O ther than that i am still here working. I figure that the time is passing by really fast and it almost doesnt feel real. I am happy for all the good news tha i have heard!!! How is the rest of the family doing? Molly,Ryan, Leisha, Kirsten, Nathan, Matt? that is also cool that aunt Brenda and uncle Steve came and are doing good.

I Am sorry that i dont write a whole lot of my experiences, but it seems like the days are the same and they keep on passing by super fast. I walk around alot here and sometimes i go a day without teaching because of complications with appointments andt he people. I hope that i can have a lot of success with my new companion. It will be fun...

I will try to be more descriptive in the next lettters. I love you all and i know that the Gospel is true. I havew seen alot and have realized that the only thing that keeps the orden of life is living by the Gospel and the principles that Christ teaches. If we live outside these boundaries, we don´t have any right to the blessings of our Father in Heaven. There were a couple of talks about trials in the conference, even them being blessings so that we become better people. I know that the Gospel is true and i am happy and thankful to have been raised in the Church of Jesus Christ.

I love you all and i pray for you all!!!! always be strong and, as hans said, be examples for those around  you, because even if it is not obvious, they are always watching!! I love you all!!!!!!!!!!

MUCH LOVE Elder Shane Larson!!!!!

Hey FamilY!!!!!!

This week was pretty good. I walked alot... it seems like that we walk alo there in Las Flores. The place isnt very big and so we pretty much walk all of the area everyday or every 2 days. The work here is a little difficult. I try to keep a good mind set about   the work, but sometimes it is difficult. One of the things that hurts me the most here is when we do contacts and we say that we are missionaries from the Church of Chirst and the people say "no thanks, i dont go to that church." I feel bad because that dont know what they are rejecting... I wish i could show them that what they are practicing is not what God wants. I wish that they would at least listen for 5 minutes if that. But that is the mission sometimes....

I have been here for almost 4 months now mom. It seems like a long time, but i hav e at least another transfer here which is 1 1/2 months. Maybe even 3. We will see what happens. I like Las Flores because it is calm, but the work is alittle hard. And today we went to visit the lagoon which they have here just outside of the city. It was beautiful and they have the largest rodent in the world there on their island. I took some fotos. I forgot what they are called but here they call them carpinchos. their leather is supposedly the softest in the world. It was fun!!!

Conference was awesome and it is really a blessing to have the Church of Christ on the Earth today with a Prophet!!!! I absolutley LOVED conference!!!

I love you all and i hope that you are all having a good time!!!!! I wish the best for you all!!!! My prayers are with you alll!!!

Love Elder Shane Larson

ps. Mom i am really proud of you for reading!!! Keep up the good work!!!!!
